Writer's Block? Burnout? Or Just Plain Tired?

Howdy!

Wish I came with glad tidings of tales woven or written... 

But I'm not.

Whether it's writer's block, or burnout, or just plain tired, I haven't accomplished much writing in recent weeks. The ideas are there, but getting them into a Word file just isn't happening. Hopefully, this will pass.

Where's My Muse?

Still here!

I haven't made much headway in the last few days in terms of the written word but I did get some writing in this week on the Arizona Territorial Marshals. Sadly, only about half a page.

But, I'm determined to write more this next week... and next week...and the next! Just need to get back in touch with my Muse. I know she's around here somewhere. "Muse! Oh, Muse! Where art thou?"

I'm Back Again!

Hi Everyone!

Sorry to have been away so long. I didn't realize that buying a new home, moving, and selling the old home would be so time consuming. And doing the many little things that turn a house into a home...WOW!

But I think we've reached the point where I can have some time just to write and do my advertising. 

HUZZAH!

So the time spent moving wasn't a total time-off from writing. The brain continues to work while the body does the repetitive tasks. As I worked, I also did a lot of thinking...plotting out new ideas for existing stories and for some new ones! I was able to fix some plot holes in a couple of things I'm working on, find new ways forward, and come up with some new characters. I can't wait to get started on these ideas!!!

And the Beat Goes On...and the Beat Goes On...

Hi Everybody!

Get home from work...pack, plan, and prepare. Wash, rinse, repeat...

Well, we're a couple of weeks from the big move...about 4/5ths of a mile from our current house! But all of the buying a new place, preparing for the move, and preparing the old place for sale stuff still has to be done. It's absolutely ruining my writing experience!

Okay...whining over. Got some great ideas to add to my current projects once I get back on them. It'll be easier in the new house as I'll have my own office/den/library!!! A nice quite place surrounded by my books, my comic books, and my computer. 

WHEE!!!

It's starting to warm up here in Stillwater. It was really nice outside yesterday and today. Got our DVD shelves stained and ready for the big move.

I've Got an Alibi!

Hi Everybody!

Well, no new work on novels and short stories this week. But I've got an alibi...

I was out of town on a photo shoot for the paying job! I was at Dallas-Fort Worth Airport working with the airport's fire department on photography for Facility Fire Brigades, 2nd edition. Over the course of the week, I shot photos for 55 skill sheets and for numerous chapter photo needs. I believe I can truthfully say I got enough photos for about 40% of FFB2! 

Tomorrow, I download the images, rename them, and begin sorting them into folders by topic. After that it's muddling through the master list, selecting photos for figure references, storyboarding, documenting the images selected, and getting the storyboards to Graphics!

There WILL BE personal writing this week! I had a number of ideas for three of my stories that I need to get into my outlines ASAP. This will be FUN!
